Vintage Photos old/modern

Here are two prints of the same photograph of country-music star Ferlin Husky, taken by photographer Robert Dye on February 6, 1955 in Memphis, TN. The photo on the left is an original 1955 print, complete with Dye’s stamp on the back; the borderless photo on the right is a 21st-century print, also struck from the original negative. Although the two images look nearly identical, collectors have little interest in the modern-day print, vastly preferring the vintage one.
