Tour Blanks–NOT!

Here’s what happens when concert poster tour blanks aren’t used. We’ve managed to locate six examples that all date from the same month - March 1968, when the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream were both barnstorming the country.

All of these “one-off” poster designs were used for just the one concert only. Some appear plain and ordinary, while others are clearly outstanding designs (you be the judge). Thus, the pendulum swung both ways when it was left to the local promoter’s designer, whereas universal tour blanks usually had a more consistent, reliably good design. Hendrix eventually used the tour-blank method in 1969, but Cream never did. I will pay top dollar for old concert posters like these, from a huge range of artists - rock, pop, soul, rock 'n roll, R&B, jazz, etc.
